So, I got an e-mail about Worship Service plans for this week and I thought, "Man, I really ought to check Famundo on my own. Why haven't I bookmarked it already?" So I proceeded to bookmark the site, which was titled, "Famundo - Worship Music-Related articles." What a horribly long and unclear title! So I started to rename it something nicer, like "EFCA Worship Cale-" ... and I noticed I already had a link titled that. Leading to the exact same page.
It was windy on Wednesday, then on Thursday Sam told me it was going to rain before I headed off to class. I believed him... somewhat. Rain comes with pleasant thoughts to me, and so it didn't occur to think that along with rain came cold. Nor did it occur to me that I waited outdoors for the shuttle to arrive to take me home, and that the shuttle at times took up to forty minutes to arrive. So, Thursday was a wet, soggy day.
The rain over the weekend was nice, though. It felt clean, and left the sky smelling sweet even as it fell. The weather never felt oppressive or muggy (except in my car, which now has a flooded trunk).
I spent most of Friday with Josh et al, getting in some good rounds of DOD:Source. We found the [SiX] clan server just randomly joining one, and played around there for a casual game. Only after a few moments did it occur to us that we were seeing [-Q-] clan server regulars all over the place. It turns out [SiX] is the new home for the old Q clan after Qosis decided to stop running his servers.
It was exciting to see so many familiar faces!... but something feels wrong. In that afternoon, most of the people we met, even those whose names and presences on the battlefield we respected, were nowhere near the level of skill we remembered them on the [-Q-] server. Opponents that used to brush me out of their way without so much a moment's thought were now presenting little different pressure from any normal opponent. I'm not sure why this happened, but for the time being, I'm glad we've found that server.
It was a totally different experience from the POW server from last month. There, our entire clan was getting wiped like a bunch of nobodies, and I was at my absolute peak only offering little resistance toward my opponents.
Saturday was my father's anniversary. Mum and Betty and I met at Rose Hills to spend a bit of time together. It was beautiful there; the sloping hills made a rather surreal backdrop for the setting. Mom picked a bundle of flowers from our home to put at his grave (later, Betty and I noticed there being a rather large hole in our plant at home. Hah!). Afterwards, we went to get lunch together, and Betty came home with us to see mom's work on the curtains.
Mom also got her Wii! It's sitting near our TV, all cute-like and waiting on us. Betty and I stayed to play for a while, though we first went to K-Mart to buy a second Wii-mote. We spent most of the afternoon taking a tour of the different games that were available (notably skipping over Golf). Mom's package also included a copy of Sonic Unleashed, so Betty and I decided to try that out a bit. The game's... odd, and included too much loading time. =(
Saturday night, Tiffany showed up to begin recording the vocal part for the remix I'm working on. It was fun, and Ajisen was delicious. =D
